Eggshell Colors are the solid colors on the outside of a player's egg. They can be customized in the home screen inventory slot. Eggshell colors also can be changed in both public and private lobbies. There are seven main egg-based colors to choose from, ranging from white to dark brown, but seven more special colors can be unlocked by being a member of the VIP Club. The special colors used to be unlocked by using the Golden Chicken or the free Chicken Nugget, before being replaced with the VIP Club. These eggshell colors are purely cosmetic and do not enhance a players performance in the game. If choosing the right color, they do, however, provide near-perfect camouflage with the background/trees, being very helpful when camping or playing in a hide-and-seek challenge. For example, a tan-colored egg could hide on the map Dirt easier than a white-colored egg.
The seven default colors are white, sky blue, beige, tan, brown, caramel, and chocolate. The seven that require a VIP Club membership are red, violet, barbie pink, yellow, blue, dark green, and green. However in an old version of the game, there used to be a black eggshell color instead of the current green color. Blue Wizard Digital removed it because players couldn't see the amount damage done to other players, giving them an unfair advantage (BWD Partner Content Creator, Sharkbucks made a video on why the black eggshell color was removed from the game. You can watch it here). Furthermore, prior to Version 0.45.11, there was a lighter pink eggshell color.

Trivia[]
- There used to be a pure black eggshell color available but, this was removed due it being underused and causing glitches, which eventually led to exploits. People with this color of egg had an advantage that people couldn't see if the egg was cracked or not, so BWD decided to remove it from the game. Sharkbucks made a video on it as stated above.
