What the scrambler scoping looks like.
The Scrambler, also known as the Shotgun or formerly known as the Dozen Gauge, is a weapon class containing a double-barrel shotgun that shoots one out of each barrel before reloading. This weapon class covers close-range combats. When aiming, the gun zooms in without a scope, with the two aiming notches centred on the cursor.
The Scrambler can eliminate opponents with a single shot (called a "one tap") at close range. It has two shots (one from each barrel) before reloading. It has a 24-bullet capacity, two automatically in the chamber. Each bullet carton picks up eight bullets.
This weapon is your best choice in tunnels and intersections. When used correctly, the Scrambler is extremly easy to kill an enemy with one shot. One downside to the Scrambler is that it has abysmal accuracy and is the only non-automatic weapon to have such low accuracy, simply because it is a shotgun. So if you are looking for an accurate gun try something else. The Scrambler is one of the original three guns that were in the game. It is also one of the most used guns throughout the game over the years, alongside the crackshot (it is one of the fan favourites). The reticle for the gun shows where the fountain of bullets will travel, and it becomes wider when the player is moving or jumping around. It is similar to a circle, however, it started with a square crosshair look back in 2018 before changing to the Oval Crosshair the game currently has, in the middle of August 2023. As with all guns, different skins do not change the effectiveness or power of the weapon.

Gameplay Tips[]
- Since the Scrambler is a short-range weapon, a more helpful idea is to get as close as possible before attacking. Never go for long-range shots unless your opponent is on very low health. Though, medium-range shots can be good to get your opponent's health to go down so you can finish them off from far away so they pose no harm.
- Because of the spray of the bullets, it is helpful to jump around while firing at an opponent. A clear, spot-on shot is not necessarily needed as long as the gun is aimed in the relative direction of the opponent.
- Using this strategy, a Scrambler's opponent will have a hard time landing a shot while the Scrambler sprays bullets repeatedly.
- Reload! This goes to all classes but especially Scrambler because it only has two shots. When you have shot one bullet, reload because if it only has one shot you could get yourself killed.
- Be extra careful with dodging bullets and jumping around during your reload interval. A skilled enemy can utilize this period where you cannot output damage to their advantage, possibly killing you.
- When unsure how to dodge an enemy's attack, the last resort would be running straight toward the opponent till both of your eggs overlap. Since eggs pass through each over without collision, you can, hopefully, confuse the enemy with your risky maneuver, arrive at their blind spot, and get two clean shots in.
- Since your accuracy doesn't change a lot when you jump with the scrambler, you can make your movement very tricky and still be able to get some nice kills in against enemies that are using a different weapon.

The old Scrambler appearance before version 0.25.5
- Before Version 0.25.5 (November 2019), when classes and guns were distinct from each other, the Scrambler was referred to as "Dozen Gauge" when talking about the gun itself, and "Scrambler" only when selecting that weapon class in the menu.
- When all of the default gun skins were changed in 0.25.5, the Scrambler largely retained its original colors (Orange, Black, and Brown), unlike all of the other guns.
