The New Yolker is the official Shell Shockers newsletter. The New Yolker keeps players informed about the current update the game is going through! A new newsletter comes out every 15 days!. Players can subscribe to The New Yolker (free of charge) with their email address to receive a new issue on the first and the middle of each month. The newsletter gives subscribers access to exclusive update news, secret Shell Shockers proxy domains, and a link to get a new item straight to your home page, which were previously obtained from an item code. The link to get new items started from September 2021, after Issue 32: Melon Hat. They expire one month after the link is sent, which means that they won't give your account the item shown in the link after the one month timespan. There were a few issues that did not come on the first of a month or on the 15th of a month including the January 2019 Issue and the Eggsmas Issues from 2020 onward. Starting from July 2021, the look of The New Yolker changed and mid-month issues have been sent out. 1000 Golden Eggs are given in each mid-month issue (previously it was 500 eggs before the eggflation update). Items that have been released from The New Yolker are listed in chronological order below. Item names are listed from what is said in the New Yolker, not the item code.
Some of the older New Yolkers have become rare items, due to old players leaving the game and new players joining without having the item. Thus, old New Yolker skins such as Fez hat, Santa beard, Wizard Hat, Monocle, and other old new yolkers are sometimes given away in the Blue Wizard Digital server or by BWD content creators.
Additionally, on Blue Wizard Digital Twitch streams, there is a segment on the prize wheel with "choice of newsletter" where the winner can pick any New Yolker skin they desire.

- December is the only month where 3 issues of The New Yolker are released to New Yolker Subscribers.
- Every December 25th, a special Eggsmas Edition of The New Yolker is sent to the subscribers.
- There has never been an issue of The New Yolker released on January 1st of every year; Blue Wizard Digital employees and game developers are usually on holiday during that time of year.
- Starting with the Books Hat, Issue 33 (September 1st, 2021), the New Yolker gave items via this link rather than item codes.
- Starting in Mid June 2021, "MidMonth" Editions of The New Yolker were sent out. They contained 500 Golden Eggs, obtainable via this link, which was later changed to 1000 Golden Eggs in Mid June 2023.
- Most New Yolker items are hats or stamps.
- The only New Yolker weapon skins are the Raidland Cluck 9mm (Issue 17), colloquially known as the Bunny Pistol,the Medieval Key Melee (Issue 80) and the Wooden Grove Crackshot (Issue 100).
