The Inventory is a regularly used menu interface in Shell Shockers, that is used for changing and buying in-game cosmetics, accessible from the home interface and in-game. This is where Hats, Stamps, Weapon Skins, Grenade Skins, Melee Skins and Eggshell Colors can be changed, bought, or equipped onto your egg. It can be accessed by clicking on the yellow "Inventory" button at the bottom center of the home page, or by clicking the "Inventory" button on the left-hand side of the in-game pause menu interface. The Inventory is organized with a paper doll preview of the egg in the middle, and two panels on the side. The Inventory has two modes - the Inventory mode, and the Shop mode. These can be toggled using the buttons at the top middle of the inventory interface. When entering the shop mode, if a player is not logged into an account, there will be a popup dialog prompting players to sign in, else risk losing their items, as the account will only be attached to their browser, rather than an account.
In the middle of the inventory, between the two panels, is the player's character equipped with the currently selected skins. This is helpful to preview skin combinations and test out unbought skins. The egg will point in random directions at set intervals, but hovering over the egg will allow a player to manually adjust the rotation of the egg model to see specific parts of the skin. Under the egg is a row of icons showing the different primary weapon classes of Shell Shockers. Clicking on these will allow that weapon to be equipped, and will allow players to see all skins for that particular weapon. The "back" button located under this will return the player to either the home screen or back to the in-game pause menu.
On the left-hand side panel of the inventory, a player can change their currently equipped skins. In the "Equipped" section (the first section) There is a preview of each equipped item. The Primary Weapon, Secondary Weapon (Pistol), Grenade, Hat, and Stamp skins are displayed. Clicking on these items will allow the player to see the owned skins for that item, displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.(This is no longer available).
Below the "equipped" section is the color selection. A player can customize the colour of their player eggshell from here. There are fourteen egg colours in total. 7 of these colours are unlocked by default and are available for everyone to use. These can be found in the top row of egg colours. The other 7 colours on the bottom row are locked by default. These colors can only be used exclusively for players who have purchased and currently have an active VIP Club membership on their account. Unlocked colours will be displayed as an egg icon with that specific color, while locked colors will have an additional lock symbol over them. Clicking on locked colours without a VIP subscription will open up a popup that promotes the VIP Club and informs players of its additional benefits. Under the left panel is the Redeem Code button. This button opens a popup where a player can enter an item code to redeem it.
The right side panel of the inventory displays all item skins for a particular type of item. It has 6 tabs on the top: Primary, Secondary, Whisk, Grenade, Hat, Stamp, and Limited Edition. The Limited Edition tab will only be visible if the inventory is in "shop" mode. This tab shows items that are only available for purchase in that specific category, and will soon eventually be unable to be purchased. Clicking on these will show skins for that particular item type. Items are shown as a grid of item icons, with three items displayed in one row. In the "primary weapon" tab, players can change the particular primary weapons that are displayed by clicking on a specific item in the list of weapon classes under the egg paper doll. If the inventory is in inventory mode, this panel will show purchased items for that specific class. At the bottom of the item list, there will be a shop icon, which will set the inventory to shop mode. Clicking on items will equip that selected item to the player. The item icon will be highlighted orange and the paper doll will update to show the skin. If a player clicks again on a selected item, the item will be unequipped and it will return to the default skin (Default weapon skins/No hat or stamp).
If the inventory is in shop mode, the panel will instead display purchasable items that the player can buy. Each item button will have a price number in the top left of the box. The icon next to it will show what currency the price is in. Most items will have a Golden Egg icon meaning they can be purchased with the in-game golden egg currency, while some other items will have a real-world currency tag. They can be bought with credit/debit cards, PayPal, and other purchase methods through Xsolla. Clicking on an item will update the egg model to show the egg using that particular item, however, it will not be equipped. Next to the egg, there will be a price tag graphic which will display the price of the item in a larger font. Underneath this, there will be an orange "Buy Now" button. Clicking this will open a purchase confirmation dialog, for a player to confirm their purchase. Once bought, the item will be automatically equipped, and it will disappear from the shop and appear in the player's inventory.
Shell Shockers Mobile also has a similar inventory interface with two panels and an egg model in the center. Buttons are larger and simplified to make them easier to select. A player can change egg colors from the yellow icon button in the top left, and redeem a code from the menu in the top left.
In Version 0.45.7 a feature called "Photobooth" was added to the inventory screen. You are able to see the egg's entire layout (hats, stamps, main gun and secondaries). All can be toggled off if you want. You can take a 4k picture of your egg on some of your favorite maps, and show of to your friends!
In Version 0.50.1 the developers fixed the Inventory and Shop, items now load faster! (Thanks to @grifmin.)
