The Kart Event was a Shell Shockers event that took place during August of 2023. From August 1st to August 31st, limited-edition Kart items (more information below) were available in the Shop, ranging from 500 to 5000 Golden Eggs. It also introduced a new premium Grenade, the Timebomb Grenade, free for VIP members. The new map also introduced was Raceway (featuring brand-new aspects like a START line and Question Blocks), and the New Yolker cosmetic for the month was the Stopwatch Stamp.
The Kart Set[]
Mario Kart is a set of kart-racing spinoff games developed by the Japanese company Nintendo. It includes many items, features, and objects from original Mario games and other Nintendo-published games. The Kart Set clearly reflects these features: the stamps included bananas from Donkey Kong, and a 1-Up Mushroom from the original game, and a Question Block also from the original game. Some of the Hats featured are Mario enemies, like a Piranha Plant or Chain Chomp, while others nearly exact copies of karts used in Mario Kart. They fit around the egg in a way where the egg appears to be driving the kart. Lastly, the weapon skins share the green, red, and pink colors featured in the franchise, along with the poofy, round shape of many objects in the game. The Timebomb Grenade, the VIP item of the month, is an exact replica of a Bob-omb.
