Servers moved to settings

Shell Shockers has seven selectable servers for people living in different regions of the world. You can choose and change them in the settings, although the game should automatically assign you to the server region you live closest to. Servers that are based farther away from your main playing location will often occur to have higher ping and much more lag. The server closest to where you live will typically have the lowest ping and the least lag. The higher your ping is the more lag you will get and vice versa. The higher your ping is the more delayed your shots and the likelihood for blanks is increased. Generally, if you play on servers that are not your home server, you will tend to have more ping spikes (inconsistent ping). The server with the least amount of ping will appear at the top of the dropdown menu, and the server with the most will appear at the bottom. In each server, you will play people from in that area as well. If you're lucky you might even get into the same game as your friend.

The seven server regions are:

  • US East (New Jersey)
  • US West (San Francisco, California)
  • US Central (Dallas, Texas)
  • Germany (Hessen, Germany)
  • Chile (Santiago, Chile)
  • Singapore
  • Sydney (Sydney, Australia)

Trivia[]

  • There used to be a Brazilian server, however that got replaced at the beginning of 2023 by the Chile server.
    • This is an inconvenience to players in South America because of Chile's location. Brazil is more in the middle of South America, so the ping or surrounding regions won't be terrible. Chile on the other hand, is at the south of South America, meaning northern countries would receive worse ping than usual.
